Ip67 Protective Degree
With a rating of Ip67 (protective design standard) incorporating a completely sealed Reader head, Vulcan DRO Spherotech Systems are free from the impact by common contaminants found in the workshop, such as oil, water and waste metal material (swarf), this is wthout detriment to the measurement precision. There will never be failure,misreading or missing data due to those contaminants.
Extremely long travel
The measurement travel of Vulcan DRO systems is from 50mm to unlimited Length. The length of single scale can reach 12m and can be extended unlimitedly. At the same time, it still maintains high precision. This provides a perfect solution for the demand on long travel measurement to the industry.
Application of Same Thermal Expansion Coefficient
The heat expansion coefficient of the scale is 12 ×10-6 same as those of most machines tools and work pieces. As a result ,this greatly decrease possible errors caused by different temperatures.

With the specification of vibration resistance of 30g294m/s2 (55-2000Hz) and impact resistance of 100g（11ms）/1000m/s2, the SPHEROTECH Encoder is able to operate normally and stay in tact,being reliable and endurable, when other sensors may have been destroyed, failed and malfunctioning in a vibration environment far below this level.
Reliable Accuracy
The highly reliable measurement accuracy of Vulcan DRO Systems is an up to date latest -level measurement standard. All key production and measurement equipments of Vulcan DRO Systems are aligned regularly with laser which can be traced to the precision standard of National Physical Laboratory (NPL) or produced and commissioned by laser directly, so as to guarantee all products meet the required precision standard.
Easy Installation
When installing Vulcan Spherotech Encoder, a pair of universal Bracket is used and only two supporting points are required. There is no requirement to machine the whole travel surface or place additional plate to get a horizon or vertical level precision. Owing to this Vulcan Spherotech Encoder can be easily installed on machines or work benches where most of work benches where most of the other DRO systems fail.
 Extended Warranty Period
Vulcan provides10 years warranty to scales and 5-years warranty to the Reader Head and Counter. Moreover, a team of experienced technicians is ready to provide professional and speedy support upon request.
Excellent Compatibility
